Trained and supervised students at Akron Law's Reentry Clinic screen potential pardon candidates to ensure that they meet the project’s requirements. The students also assist the project’s clients with preparing a pardon petition to the governor. The project is designed to simplify Ohio’s lengthy clemency process for certain rehabilitated citizens who have consistently demonstrated that they’ve become contributing members of society.
